Edgar Isaacs hailed from Bay, Arkansas, a small town a few miles southeast of Jonesboro. The Edgar Isaacs Collection is a very small collection that consists mainly of his letters to “the dear ones at home” dating from July, 1918 to around April, 1919. If researchers are interested in the collection, they can contact us at [email protected] His granddaughter who donated the collection noted that while in the service, he would read letters from home and compose letters to loved ones for fellow soldiers who could not read or write.
